"Chasing Ghosts 10: Art that Pierces the Veil through remembrance, legacy, and beyond"
Time flies and it's hard to imagine that Chasing Ghosts is in its tenth iteration! The gallery was celebrating its third year when I conceived of this exhibit. It has proven to be a fan favorite for artists and collectors alike. This year's edition will be VIRTUAL and as always, the emphasis is the idea of revealing the unseen. The term ghost may be interpreted in many ways, not necessarily meant to be a literal elucidation. Do you express your deepest fears or concerns through your work? Do current political, health, and environmental concerns shadow or define your work? What parts of the past leave their mark on your work? Is a legacy revealed through your work or your process? Is memory a vital vehicle of expression for you? Do you inadvertently honor something from your past or concern for the future through your work? Artists are encouraged to enter work that is any interpretation of the call. All mediums and modes of expression are welcome.
This exhibition will be ONLINE ONLY.
Selected artists will be featured in a virtual group exhibition online on the Verum Ultimum Art Gallery website. This includes an exhibition book, exhibition page, the website at large, and virtual viewing galleries that show the work in scale. Artists will also be featured through online blogposts. Social media attention and promotion will remain on this exhibition for 4 weeks.
