Call for ART: 12th Annual Abstract Sanctuary

Call for art

Verum Ultimum Art Gallery invites artists to explore the theme, ABSTRACT SANCTUARY for its 12th year!

And enter work that is an interpretation of the call. Please note this exhibition will be ONLINE ONLY with all the usual bells and whistles of a Verum Virtual show (including the virtual 3D Gallery space). All works will be displayed on the gallery website, within a virtual viewing gallery setting, and promoted through blogposts and social media channels.

It's important to note that Verum will be offering virtual exhibitions intermittently as a response to the overwhelming enthusiasm I have received for the return of the 3D Virtual Gallery. One of the benefits of the virtual setting is the chance to exhibit more artists (and the added benefit of not shipping artwork until it sells). The next call for art will return to the in-person brick and mortar space.

More details about this current call for art:

ABSTRACT SANCTUARY was the inaugural exhibition and each year it serves as a marker for Verum Ultimum. It's always a reminder of progress, of consistency, of change, and of the deep well of inspiration from artists.

Verum Ultimum Gallery wants to see artists interpretations, "Abstract Sanctuary" for the 12th edition of this theme. The goal is NOT to drive the work, but rather to discover unique visions and showcase them. All mediums are welcome. This call emphasizes the process with a focus on the individual style of the art maker. Abstraction is a vital vehicle of expression for many contemporary artists and the use of abstraction dates back to the beginning of man. It is one of the most elemental forms of expression for artists. Verum Ultimum Gallery invites artists to showcase their talent within this expressive genre. What does the phrase "abstract sanctuary" evoke in you? Is abstraction a vehicle for respite? Does your artmaking process reflect a level of spirituality, intuition, or unexplained connections.

This is a virtual exhibition, and all works will be displayed on the gallery website, within a virtual viewing gallery setting, and promoted through blogposts and social media channels.
